I completed my Bachelor of Engineering in computer science from University B. D. T college of Engineering, Karnataka.Life during graduation I started programming life during my graduation - B.E 5th semster - Unix system project a unix based text editor using ncurses.h in 5th Semster B.E. B.E 8th semester - Campus Affairs:  Internal website aimed at helping colleges and its students during campus interviews (Java, jdbc, servlets) B.E 7th semester - Got introduced to PHP/Mysql open source world, it was fun working with PHP, it was so simple and yet powerful, with its powerful core functions i could easily develop a website in few days. I loved PHP a most in programming language it remained my favorite. Life After Graduation I got fascinated with web applications when i became addicted to browsing in internet, and first thing that attracted me a lot was Y! mail change theme feature with click of a color entire color used to change, and there on i decided i want to get into web programming. Its been tough after graduation to get a job, during 2004 very few companies used to work on PHP. I always heard a rumor if you get into MNC you never get to work what you like instead you need to work on programming language what they put you in, didn’t wanted to give up what i liked,  i started my career in Aug. 2005 with startup firm Baba9 Web Software Pvt Ltd. It was great working with Baba9 web software, it was a small firm, it taught me what makes it to be a independent programmer. Expecting more challenges in life, i moved to CoStrategix it was a USA based start up company, i was the first employee to be hired for that company. My working days used to start at 8:30am end at 9:30pm(i enjoyed working on the interesting tasks it kept me for more working hours, also to skip traffic jam used to leave office bit late :)), 6 days a week. I worked there as the only employee for almost one year, later on CoStrategix started hiring more people, i got the chance to build the team and see the company grow, after almost two years i left CoStrategix, it had grown quite a bit by that time, we had group almost 10 programmers and testers. I didn’t actually quite reached the stage where i wanted to go as a programmer or what i wanted to do. I had lot of interest in Security, SEO, Performance but my key role was as a programmer in start up firm never allowed me to do what i wanted to do, start up firms kept me busy in doing stuff. During my last month of work at CoStrategix, i decided i would work on some of the non profit product idea after this job, 15 days passed by after my resignation at CoStrategix and i had uploaded my resume in jobsite, i got a call from Yahoo! Journey to Yahoo! My first round was a telephonic interview(questions on apache, seo, security, php, mysql), after i cleared that i was called for personal interview. It was 5 rounds, my first round(questions on seo, DB design), 2nd round(data structures, php),3rd round on (security in general, web application security), i had a break for lunch i heard from HR some times it takes 7 rounds to make it to Yahoo! and it was busiest day, finally 4th interview round started was on(web architecture design, load balancing, fault tolerant system), after 4th i thought it ended but there was 5th round, H.R walked in and i got a offer to join Yahoo!. Life at Yahoo! I started my career through startups(almost 3 years 2005-2008) , From april 2008 i am working as Local Security Engineer for Yahoo Media Group project and Senior Software Engineer at Yahoo! Inc. What i like most about Yahoo!, its fun to work here, you always feel lot to learn in your professional career, it just never ends. Early days at Yahoo! i worked on Y! Health project where i was involved in backend development and i got opportunity to work on my interests SEO, i developed few SEO tools which would help Yahoo! Media Group. I was promoted as Local Security Engineer(additional responsibility along with being a backend engineer)  where i started to work on security reviews of Media Projects(Y! Weather, Y! Health, Y! Real Estate, Y! Autos, Y! Green, Y! Kids) Currently i work as senior backend engineer for Y! Finance project and also continue working on local paranoid for media group projects. Career interests Ideally i would like to be a Software Architect, but i always believe web technologies with product knowledge makes a product to click, some of the interests include - Search Engine Optimization/Search Engine Marketing, Web Apps.
