I remember those days, when i started my web development career each day was learning experience with of useful information learnt every day. Remembering those information sites or domain name or URL’s is difficult job, so what i used to do is store those URL’s in a text file.

Then one of the senior developer told me about bookmark feature, since then i started creating the folders and storing large number of bookmarks in firefox.

Using browser bookmark feature had few drawbacks -
As the number of bookmark increased its very difficult to manage bookmarks.
If for some reason we have to work in other system, either we have to export all bookmarks each time and import those bookmarks in other system. Keeping other system with sync to our working system bookmarks is a tedious process and also sometimes we may want to keep few bookmarks unshared.

If i had to work in other system, working without bookmark (where i used to store db, internal project bookmarks) or transferring it to other system used to take away my times. All these problems ended once i came across delicious.
